To Whom?

Kairacross Saimaa suitable for ordinary hikers and endurance enthusiasts who want to challenge themselves and enjoy the great outdoors.

The prerequisite for participation is the ability to navigate in the wilderness.

The event is timed and results are generated to motivate the more competitive.

Where?

In the Saimaa region (Sulkava, Puumala, Savonlinna). The event center is located in Sulkava, the Lohilahti village.

The address of the event center (Lohilahti school) is Lohirannantie 6, 58620 Lohilahti.

COURSES & Classes

Courses are not marked on the terrain, i.e. competitors must navigate by themselves.

Approximately half the distance of every course runs on land and half in waterways.

Teams

Teams consists of at least two people. There is no upper limit on team size.

Saimaa 50 and Saimaa 25 can be attended by those over 18 years and over 16 years of age, if the parent is in the same team.

Saimaa 6 can be attended by also those over the age of 12, if the parent is in the same team.

Insurance

Organizer has no insurance to cover the participants. We recommend a personal health insurance that includes participation to events in terrain.
