1. MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

1.1 TEAM EQUIPMENT

Every team has to have with them all the time

• gps tracking device (provided by the organizers)

• race maps (provided by the organizers)

• competition card (provided by the organizers)

• waterproof map cover

  • recommended size A3 or larger

• first aid equipment in watertight packaging:

  • plasters

  • elastic compression bandage

  • emergency blanket (aluminium foil or similar)

• permanent marker

Each team must have at the start, finish and at the check points mentioned in the check point descripotions

• packraft

• patching tools (tape intended for patching works best, such as Tuff Tape, “gorilla tape” works quite well, duct tape not so well. Take enough tape with you!)

1.2 PERSONAL EQUIPMENT

Each participant must have it with them at all times

• mobile phone and waterproof bag

  • Install the Suomi 112 application on your phone if you use a smartphone. Remember to fully charge the battery.

• number bib

• compass

• whistle

• windproof jacket

Each participant must also have when moving in the water

• life jacket

• helmet

  • a paddling, climbing or cycling helmet

2. PROHIBITED EQUIPMENT

• engines that can move the packraft

3. RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

• clothes suitable for the weather, with which you can even wade in the water

• waterproof backpack (or at least all equipment packed in waterproof bags)

• clock

• additional first aid equipment

  • bandages for blisters

  • allergy medicine

  • cortisone cream

• mosquito repellent

• mosquito hat or similar

• camera

• knife or pocket knife

• magnifying glass or reading glasses (the map is quite detailed)
